At Walk with Scissors Cosmetology Academy, we prepare our students for a career in the field of cosmetology and offer the quality of education to succeed in the industry. We are committed to offering the highest standard of education to our students by customizing their individual learning strategies for each and every aspiring cosmetologist. We are focused on developing advanced practical skillsets that are necessary for success in this growing industry. We ensure that upon graduation, our students will have a thorough understanding of professionalism, communication, customer service, and both business and interpersonal skills. We provide a state of-the-art facility, with in-depth theory practices, live model programs for beginning students and updated technology for lecture and hands-on work. OUR VISION
Our vision at WWS Academy is to provide placement for each of our graduates. We look to build professional relationships with salons/spas for interview practices, guest speaking, demonstrations, and career events. Our graduates will complete school with a full understanding of the industry and express passion and confidence in all aspects of cosmetology. We are committed to strengthening a team of eager stylists, educators, mentors, and management.

Owner | Lead Educator
Nathan Walk
Nathan is a licensed cosmetologist, educator, and barber with over 25 years of experience in the salon and education industry. He has built a reputation for inspiring others through hands-on education, industry events, and creative work, while staying ahead of trends to support the growth of his students and community.
Originally from Enola, Pennsylvania, Nathan developed his career in Philadelphia, working with leading institutions such as Aveda, Toni & Guy, and Schwarzkopf. With advanced training from top professional brands, he founded Walk With Scissors Academy to deliver a high-quality, career-focused education that equips students with the skills and experience needed to succeed.

Ryan Walk
With over 19 years of experience in Operations Leadership with a heavy equipment dealership and rental company, Ryan Walk has made the decision to join Walk with Scissors Academy to work both behind the scenes on the financial & Operations management side of the business, and on the Student Admissions side to ensure students will start their education with confidence and excitement. With Ryan’s communication and leadership skills, he quickly turned his passion into coming up with procedures to put focus on the overall success of Walk with Scissors Academy which will start at the very beginning of a potential student’s interest in this exciting industry of Cosmetology and will extend beyond graduation. As Ryan has always put his family first, his family values shine towards others with empathy, compassion and success for all.

Morgan Galbraith
Morgan is a dedicated director and educator who is deeply passionate about shaping the next generation of beauty professionals. With a strong commitment to excellence in education, she takes pride in being actively involved in each student's journey. Including both their technical skills as well as personal confidence. Morgan finds fulfillment in guiding aspiring cosmetologists through their training, supporting their professional growth, and helping them build successful, meaningful careers in the industry.

Emily McCall
I've been in the beauty industry for 17 years, and I’ve worn pretty much every hat there is—from stylist and salon owner to educator and suite owner. My background is rooted in Toni & Guy cutting and coloring techniques, and I’ve been teaching and mentoring new stylists since 2013. I know exactly what it takes to go from a student to a confident professional, and I’m here to help you navigate that transition with ease.
In the classroom, I’m a total geek for color theory and formulation. I love breaking down complex coloring techniques and showing you the magic of short haircutting and texturizing to really make a look your own. Beyond the technical stuff, I’m also big on the business side of things; I’m super savvy with marketing and social media for stylists and even host a podcast dedicated to the craft. I can’t wait to help you sharpen your skills, build your brand, and find your own unique voice in this amazing industry!

Through Walk With Scissors Academy, I am able to share my love for hair with those newer to their journey behind the chair! Being an educator is more than helping my students execute techniques, it is being their support system and helping them grow not only as stylists but as people as well. The industry is changing constantly, and I strive to educate our students with modern techniques to set them up for any situation in a salon setting with full confidence. I absolutely love what I do and have been so grateful to be apart of such a wonderful school.

Abbie Tinsley
I've been a proud member of the Walk With Scissors team for the past year, the same place where I started my journey. I love helping future stylists build confidence and grow their skills from the ground up. I focus a lot on precision and detail in my work, while still bringing creativity into everything I do. As an educator, I'm especially passionate about breaking down the science behind cosmetology in a way that actually makes sense, so students can truly understand and feel confident in what they're doing, and then be able to pass that knowledge on by education their own clients behind the chair.

I am a licensed cosmetologist with four years of experience in the beauty industry. I specialize in skincare and esthetics and am passionate about helping others build confidence while developing strong technical skills and industry knowledge. As a teacher, I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can grow both creatively and professionally. I take pride in helping maintain exceptional customer service and a smoothly operating clinic, ensuring that both students and guests have a positive and welcoming experience. My goal is to inspire future professionals while delivering high-quality service and fostering a culture of professionalism, care, and excellence.
